300 Swedish children's books in Zürich
Through a crowdfunding campaign, Little Swedes has funded modern Swedish children's books for ages 0-6. They are at the intercultural library Kanzbi in central Zürich – and are completely free to borrow.
The joy of reading in Swedish
Reading aloud to small children builds vocabulary, language understanding and imagination. For children who grow up with Swedish as one of several languages, reading aloud is often the most important contact with the language.
With the children's library, we want to support the children's language development, spark a love of reading and create a meeting place for Swedish families in Zürich. The books were chosen together with teachers and speech therapists.
