Little Swedes supports parents in passing the Swedish language on to their children, while we also promote culture and traditions. Through our activities with play and learning, Swedish becomes a natural part of growing up abroad.

Passing on a language is about much more than words. It is about friends, stories, music, traditions and belonging. That is why Little Swedes creates meeting places where children can use and discover Swedish together.
Language & stories
Language play, story time and Swedish children’s books spark curiosity and strengthen the children’s bond with Swedish.
Play & movement
Gym to Swedish music and movement games with different themes – so children learn new words with their whole bodies.
Culture & traditions
We bake in Advent, celebrate Midsummer and get to know Swedish children’s book characters, so Sweden comes alive, even far from home.
Community
Children meet other children who speak Swedish, and parents find other families to network with!

For a child, it can make a big difference to discover that Swedish is not only the language spoken at home with mum or dad, but also something they share with friends in our community.
You do not have to grow up in Sweden to experience Swedish life – children can do that here, together with us.
